Keep it Classy, Keep it Elegant

Being invited to an event at a traditional place requires a second thought in terms of outfit. That is exactly what happened, this week, when I was invited to go to a book launching evening at the Govern Foreign Affairs Palace – Palácio do Itamaraty.

Evening inspires black and nowadays with all this talk- talk- talk about the Black Dress Come Back it had to be my choice.

Many of the people I know consider me classic and traditional so a black top and skirt suit would certainly do the job. Of course, some embroidery in monochrome would reveal an update modern feeling.

In order to keep it elegant, slight heritage touches like a Gucci vintage snakeskin clutch from the 70’s paired with a delicate bracelet did help building up the outfit.

Shiny touches add sparkles every now and then in a subtle way so my choices were: bejeweled Swarovski sandals from Ballin, thin suede belt with crystal clasp and delicate H. Stern diamond earrings.

There! Done! I guess I did it! Do you agree it was classy and elegant?? After all there are moments for every mood in fashion!
