Culottes that Look Good on Petite Women

One of the worst things about the come back of 90s’ minimalism, is that it made culottes trendy again (wide pants and flared pants too). Not that they don’t look good or anything, I love them, they look fabulous…on tall women…

There is something about that bellow-the-knee cut that makes you look even shorter than you really are. It takes away from the length and it can be distorting for you figure, if you are not graciously born with long billiard sticks. I am generally not a big fan of online shopping, but since roaming around Munich’s shopping district brought me nothing but soar tows and a sole-ss heel. So thoughtfully, I went – based on advice – to ASOS Petite and search for a nice culotte that would be the perfect say “I’m gona make a statement…but I’ll do it quietly”!

And there it was perfectly layered and simplistically pleated into two folds, with a crepe-like material that is both warm and breezy in the same time. It was a perfect misch-masch between comfort and elegance…an effortless look you would say.

I do regret the color however! If you had to wear a anything that is mid-way layered, make sure you do not chose skin-tones, for the sake of avoiding any optical illusions.

On my culottes-to-shop list you might like also (if you are klein): This luscious red, this grey feeling blue (the color will be flaming hot next season) or this baby pink.
